Abiotic- devoid of life, physical object that some animals may need to live
Biotic- Living/alive
Habitat- The natural home of an organism
Geographical distribution- The natural distribution of organisms across the planet
Population- the amount of a species living in a specific area
Carrying capacity-the highest possible amount of a species that can exist in one area
Interdependent Relationships- two different organisms depending on each other for basic needs.
Evolution- a gradual change in the characteristics of a population of animals or plants over successive generations.
Ecosystem-A system that includes all living organisms (biotic factors) in an area as well as its physical environment (abiotic factors) functioning together as a unit.
Species- A group of closely related organisms that are very similar to each other
Predators- A relationship between two organisms of unlike species in which one of them acts as predator that captures and feeds on the other organism that serves as the prey
Prey-an animal hunted or seized for food, especially by a carnivorous animal
